Brush and Limb Collection Policies
- To ensure that brush is collected, place it out before the first day of your collection week.
- Branches cannot be longer that 10 feet long and weigh no more than 400 pounds each.
- Place brush at the edge of the property only and not on sidewalks, streets, vacant lots or on vacant properties.
- Loose yard waste (grass, hedge trimmings, leaves, and small twigs) is to be bagged. It is to be placed separately from brush as it will be picked up by a separate truck.
- Do not put pressure treated lumber or any other building materials in with brush.
- Separate brush and junk items as junk is picked up by a separate truck.
- Do not stack brush against mailboxes, poles, fences or on top of water meters, sewer cleanouts, etc.
- The mechanical arm of the boom truck needs enough room to lift the brush pile up and into the dump bed, so please do not place under low hanging lines or trees
- Only the driver travels with each truck. No other crew members are there to move piles or separate items that do not belong in the brush pile.
Hired help or private yard waste contractors such as tree trimmers, landscapers, and lawn services are required by city ordinance to remove and dispose of waste generated by their services. We will not pick it up!
