2023 CDBG Award
Yesterday we were informed by the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development that our 2023 CDBG application for $630,000.00 has been approved! Thank you to Upper Cumberland Development District and our consulting engineer James C. Hailey & Co. for your assistance!
The proposed project consists of the replacement of approximately 3,250 linear feet of sewer collection lines along with associated manholes, service lines, and related appurtenances in the area shown in the maps. The purpose of this project is to reduce inflow and infiltration (I/I) within the City of McMinnville’s Sewer Collection system, allowing us to continue to focus on our strategic priority of improved infrastructure.
This project will fall in line with our most recent CDBG project from 2020 which was recently completed. That project rehabilitated approximately 5,500 linear feet of gravity sewer line and helped lower the city’s I/I.
